Another absolute screamer from Deep Distance here. Their quality filter is set so high at the moment it doesn’t appear to be ever coming down…ZOFFF soar and swoop their way through a 40 minute cosmic jam which at times is like having the history of European psychedelic music playing on fast forward through your brain, backwards and forwards at the same time. Probably with a slight flange… On a superficial level there are momentary nods to the likes of Can, Gong, Hawkwind, Floyd, whilst remaining very much its own musical thing. It’s fast. It’s slow. It’s impossibly deep in places, supremely tripped out in others. This is head music for the head and feet – there’s an effortless groove winding through the piece – the sort of groove which can only be achieved by a bunch of musicians at the top of their game, playing to each other strengths. For an improvised piece everything fits with everything else and there’s not a wasted note anywhere. Much of it is ‘proper psych’. There are moments which recall being at a rave. The last section goes from head nodding space-dub to flat out floating anarchy in under 5 minutes. Delicious.

This is so stunning. Unbelievable. Mesmerizing. Don't know what adjectives else to use for this...Thanks for releasing this. I'm supper agog what I can hear from these gentlemen in the future.
