A1: Tribal Techno. "The Mole" was one of the standout releases on Primate and when your blueprint is so recogniseable it's hard to bring something to the party but Gaetano manages a decent homage. It's still "The Mole" and falls short of the original but it's respectully treated with subtle effects, stabbing synths and effective rumbles. Provides a viable alternative. You can't say fairer than that. [EIGHT]A2: Techno. The only original here so probably sounds most unhindered. Beats are well programmed, but the catchy synth loop provides the hook. Proper funky (for techno) the loop never wears but there's a slack breakdown and I know more could have been done with the loop. [EIGHT]B1: Tribal Techno. Punchy well programmed beats and a decent vocal sample seem all thats happening here but some aggressive synth work adds a bite to this tool and provides progression. Full on. [EIGHT]B2: Tribal Techno. Not really at it. Sounds laboured and flat. There's potential for a background synth to breakthrough to add a bit of bite but it remains strangled. Two decent breakdowns and there does some a little bit more life after the second but you'll have lost interest by then. [FIVE]
