I'm gonna have to disagree with the idea that this is "nothing special." Yes, it's a lot like a lot of deep darj Detroit techno that's been made. But Slam and Rob Hood and folks like them didn't make their mark because they were constantly trying reinvent the wheel. They did because they do what they do so well and continue to progress subtly and steadily. That's what I think of this record here. I actually find the Carl Craig track the most accessible club track of the three, which is not always what I'm looking for, but it is good at being that. At any rate, if you dig minimal Detroit tracks, I think you dig the a-side too.
