Noisy as hell. I wonder if all the ones Bong Load mysteriously had back up for sale after being unavailable for a while were ones people sent back.
Goll
My copy was pretty noisey, anyone else have this issue?

I just returned the Geffen pressing i got the other day, it was terrible, straight up dirty paper shards all over both of the Lps ( i cleaned the Lps b4 playing them) and all the way thru there was a ton of audible distortion/fuzziness, what a shame, should have ordered the Bongload version instead..YMMV but i'd def avoid this. I had a similar exp with the 4MWB pressing of Anne Briggs first LP, same crappy distortion over the whole LP.

I've owned two other versions - the red and blue plain edition and the back to black repress - and this is easily best of the three, despite the slight surface noise. Also the artwork is loads sharper - I guess all reissues have relied on scans of the original up to now, but the difference is night and day - compare the back covers. You can't even tell Elliott's wearing an earring on the plain and geffen reissues!

i compared as well with the UK 2LP and the images on the jacket are significantly clearer. I would differ with you in the sound category. Sonically, i feel they sound fairly similar with a slight edge to the double LP. Maybe just because they didn't cram all those grooves on one record...who knows. Plus the surface noise is a bit louder than I prefer but I'm sure I will go through a few of these until I am happy lol.
Gozragore
This sounds great! A tad noisy at parts, but overall for a colored 1LP for an album this long, it sounds pretty awesome.
Mavegelv
Agreed! I had to send my copy back to BongLoad (mine was pressed pretty off center and the whole LP had a warble) They replaced my XO as well (bad fill errors side one). They were super cool about it, claiming the marble wax cools at different rates causing more fill errors than expected..
Use_Death
My copy is just a single LP, not a double. I don't think they offered a double.
Wnex
Sounds great. Best master of this record i've heard. I also have the Back to Black re-issue double LP and the orig Bongload double and this kills both..
Bynelad
Only available as a single LP. Any comments on the sound?
Bad Sunny
Same here. There was not a double LP of this version as far as I have been able to tell.
