This Elvis bootleg does something rare. It actually deliveries what it promises! Quality audio and good unheard material. Elvis jokes and banters with the audience between numbers and you can clearly hear every word. He introduces and sings his next single release, " Suspicious Minds", and tells a couple of jokes between excellent performances, that I've never heard before. The material comes from his Las Vegas shows in 1969 and '72. There's one studio recording from a Nashville session of " Bridge Over Troubled Waters" from 1970. I highly recommend this one!

After reading your other reviews of bootlegs that outline your frustration with them, I can understand your enthusiasm about this release. I just picked it up at my record shop at random, not realizing the risk of bad quality audio inherent with these sorts of recordings. This one sounds pretty good, all the instruments are distinguishable; you'd think it was from a soundboard tape recording. There are some mastering issues, as some songs are playing a bit too slow. But in general it's a fun listen. We get to hear a post-68 Elvis resuming his stage career and singing some of his best songs. He's in good form vocally and has fun with the audience. The whole thing feels special in a "behind the scenes" way, as if you're getting a rare glimpse of the shows. The images on the jacket are cool too. Boyes Jr. mentions that some of these tracks have been made available on CD since this was released, but it's convenient to have everything on one disc and I would recommend it for the same reasons you have!
