This CD is a complete waste of money @ anything over $30. One thing that is typically missing on Discogs are comments on recording quality which is sad. This "Remaster" does not seem to be much different than the original from 1989 except that it's much louder. So the levels were brought up so that this disc can now compete in the "Loudness Wars". This CD is also still extremely compressed. DR Value is an 8 compared to the PBTHAL vinyl rip of the 1989 US Vinyl Pressing that is a DR 12. There is also noticeable tape hiss at the 16k range that will show up on your playback meter. The remaster of The Ritual has this as well, however Souls Of Black does not. Both still suffer from serious compression though. CD to SHM-CD provides not much benefit in my mind on these 3 discs.
