Is it worth 5k based on musicality? I don’t believe so, rarity is another question. I wonder mostly if the buyer got screwed by customs duties and is the seller now under scrutiny by the tax board? After fee’s and what should be claimed the seller really got closer to 4K, nevertheless. It isn't. The $161 was the guy from my blog who bought it (see below link). Note the dates of the blog post and the purchase. The ebay entry had no keywords, but did have a sample, that's why he took a chance. Before that purchase the record was a complete unknown. And it's 100% authentic. It was a 2LP demo (not too many of those!). I encourage you to read the blog post.

These kind of prices are meaningless without some kind of explanationabout the item. You know a little background information about this.Like what's the music like? where was it found? I mean there hasto be some very significant reason that someone would be familiarwith this, and want to pay $5000 for it. And I'd like to hear what it is.

Yes, money is no object for some collectors. Especially if it’s in your job description and becomes a write off, or perhaps your a movie star, etc.
