I love a lot of the Bardo Pond related stuff by the Gibbons brothers and friends, especially some of the Alasehir releases. Alumbrados though should really have been a one-off. Without considerable imagination, doing several releases featuring the Cümbüş (a Turkish banjo like instrument) was sure to become one-dimensional. But, having said that, it did take a second album for them to really get it together, namely this one "A Generation Of Vipers" which kind of feels like a demented Tony Conrad meets John Fahey in a psych jam rock setting.
