Tremendous amount of fakes floating around. Seems very difficult to verify which are legitimate by pictures alone too, as there is much deviation between different genuine ones, let alone fakes. If you ever get to hear one, listen out for tape hiss which fades in and out between tracks.

I ordered a bunch of tapes from Simple Machines when I was in Highschool. None of them showed up but this one. I was kind of disappointed cause I really wanted "The Embassy Tapes" and just ordered Late out of curiosity. Upon listening I was rather confused that it had a different version of a song I'd heard on King Buzzo's album. I didn't figure out who Dave G was till "Marigold" came out on some import 12" from "In Utero" a friend bought. To me there's a charming sensation Grohl's later "arena rock" material never gave me. Albeit, this came along before Elliott Smith and such. What's worse is now I'm afraid to play it. Great loner Walkman strolls and bus ride memories though.
