After an initial listen, I'd have to guess this is a simple repress and print reproduction of the 1992 original LP issue. I don't hear anything in the sound to indicate it's a remaster of any sort. The music (shoegaze genre) is by its nature very murky, and not super dynamic, and the characteristics remain in the sound of this new vinyl. That said, I think this format lends itself well to the music, better than how it sounds on CD (which I also have), at least as I recall-- I have not done an A/B comparison of the two. Hoping to do that soon and will report back.

Having a strange issue with my copy. Record does not seem warped but my needle is having an extremely difficult time tracking. Tone arm is properly weighted and I cleaned the album multiple times so those are ruled out. I drop the needle on side one and the needle shakes back and forth like an earth quake is approaching, and skips around quite a bit. Anyone else have this issue? Threw on another album to make sure it wasnt my set up and that one played/sounded great. Really hoping I just got a bad copy and this isnt a defect across the pressing.

Nope, no issues here. Sounds ace, vinyl weight is heavy, no complaints.

How's the sound quality on this reissue? The originals prices are going up steadly...

Toni has said she's "retired", check SPC ECO if you want more. Dean's still at it.

I agree - spectacular sound for a long overdue reissue.

Upon first listen it sounds stunningly good. I honestly have never heard this album sound this good ever. The record itself is clean and and I haven't gotten any pops yet. This band deserves to have a nice clean sound since they were so ahead of the uh... Curve... Yeah. Garbage eat your heart out. This band needs a renewal.
