I got this back when it first came out. I was about 16. It shaped my worldview. Great all the way around, but the lyrics on epic title track (as well as on the next song "Let's Go Crazy") are so sneeringly, brilliantly cynical, they are almost unbearable unless you're in a sneeringly cynical mood. But the weird avant-punk-funk grooves make you want to play it over and over.
