I gave this a very close listen on Senneisher HD 650s, a decent Onkyo amp, and a Technics table. Good setup. SO let me be honest. The A side sounds pretty decent. It's really not bad at all. It's very clear. However, as some others are saying, the B side really is horrible. It does not sound representative of the songs at all. The timbres of the guitars are inaccurate and the general sound is extremely fuzzy, like it's being played off speaker from a child's toy. The C side is better than the B side by far, but still suffers from some problems. I think it's clearer than the B side, but it's not as clear as the A side.Just my opinion! It's cool to own the record though because of the little booklet. It's a shame though because the song "Stay" is the worst pressed song on the record, but it's one of the best songs on the album.

My copy doesn't sound bad, no cracking or popping. Maybe a little bit muddy, but that's the way this record was actually mastered.
Bulace
Yes, this pressing does, in fact, sound terrible. I've thought it was just my copy for years until I saw the comments here. Hopefully, a future repressing will fix the issue.
Nalme
It's a shame that the pressing (United's fault) is so bad, because Loop-o rules as a mastering engineer. I've written to Matador about their onslaught of bad pressings, but they can't really do anything except change plants (which they didn't seem eager to do).
Jaberini
Did anybody else's come with two lyric booklets?
Zahisan
My copy is a terrible and compressed version. Would suggest against buying this LP unless you wanna be disappointed.

purchased a copy form Amazon and it sounded horrible. I sent it back and the copy I received sounds a lot better, actually pretty quite.
Simple
Having the same problem. Side 1 sounded fantastic. Flip it over to side 2 and it's incredibly noisy and distorted, which seriously sucks, as all my favorite songs on the album are on side 2.
SkroN
My copy sounds pristine, don't know what's wrong with yours. And if it's a compression problem, if you're not entirely familiar with Iceage's music, they compress the hell out of their stuff to make it noisier, but side 2 for me sounds amazing, as does everything else.
Windworker
I just bought a copy and I have the same problem, side 2 of lp 1 sounds like shit, all distorted and dirty, as if suddenly I dipped the record in dirt. I just purchased it new. I'm no audio nerd, but something's up with the pressing.
