Crazy
This is where I found hoops. I saw cool 2 or Gemini on iTunes & checked it out. I fell in love with them & started following them & dug up all there past EP's/Tapes. I believe this is where a lot of fans found them, but they had the tapes put on YouTube & it got a following. This I believe is like a actual studio recorded release. I believe the tapes were just drew (Andrew todd) making demos at home & they sound good, but it's like I said they are demos. I think drew took inspiration from Ariel Pink & other artist because he has that cassette tape vintage vibe on the past tapes, but I mean he recorded it that way on purpose. I actually believe it was on a 8 track, but I could be completely wrong. Anyways this EP kinda had a new sound for them from the past Tapes/EP's. It was more clear & still kept that vintage warm sound they had going. They almost kinda had a DIIV sound on this EP, but it was more alternative with pop added. Fun fact: cool 2 was actually a instrumental demo on the first tape they released, sadly the first tape isn't on iTunes, but I do believe it's online somewhere. They also put the demo version of Gemini up on SoundCloud, it's actually pretty amazing. I would say this is a pretty good start to kinda getting a idea of what they guys sound like & what they are going for, but they change so much that it also doesn't justify them. It's a good listen tho & it's amazing!
