Notes

The rear sleeve gives an incorrect original copyright year of 2009 instead of 1991.

Some copies have records where one or both are clear translucent with purple streaks instead of an opaque purple, this is a manufacturing variation.
2,000 copies were pressed on purple vinyl, a standard vinyl edition was then produced when this limited edition sold out.

A sticker affixed to the polythene cover reads:
"Music On Vinyl®. Mr. Bungle "Mr. Bungle". Limited edition. Purple vinyl. Individually numbered. 2LP - etched D side. 180 gram audiophile vinyl. www.musiconvinyl.com MOVLP1201".

The rear sleeve:

Made in EU.

Don't have to review the album - we know it's great. But the Music On Vinyl reissue is one of the best sounding records I have. I'm not sure whether to attribute that to MOV or John Zorn's original production, and I have never heard an original press, but it is sonically incredible. The other two albums have their own issues, dv being mastered so quiet and california originally utilizing so many tracks, but this one is amazing.

sounds good. I might have imagined it but side C seemed a little louder than the first two sides. looking forward to hearing the other two albums from MOV but they really should have spread Disco Volante over two LPs for better sound, that one deserves serious treatment!anyway, nice to have this one on vinyl and I am reminded that it's a great album.

This officially authorised RE sounds fantastic. I have already listened to the A Side and must say that it even surpasses the original pressing in terms of sound range and width. Spreading this out onto 3 sides instead of 2 really gives this music more space to breathe. So far I am very pleased with the sound quality and will listen to the other 2 remaining sides later on.

This isn't officially authorized, for the record...the only band authorized version is the original single LP London Records issue.

I hope there will be a review of this RE soon, as I am very eager to find out how good this pressing is. As everyone who cares knows - this album has over 70 mins. of music. The original pressing sounded mediocre, the first RE from plain was even worse - much worse. The fact that they gave the music more space to breathe this time (spread out on three sides instead of two) and that MOV does this RE makes me think that this should sound way better than the first release. I mean, I have bought several MOV releases the last year and they all sounded good to very good as the people over at MOV have over 35 years of experience in this format and know what they are doing. They make quite good cuts. This...this just can't sound bad. At least so I think. If there's no review on the sound here by the time it gets delivered to me I would be glad to make a note on the sound or two, since I ordered it.

Let me know how it sounds!

I'd wait for official reissues by the band in 2015
Gravelblade
ok. (never said they don't tho).Comment was made by Mike Patton's fb comment in mind, from earlier in the year:"Oh and Mr. Bungle band authorized vinyl reissues coming in 2015."
Tojahn
fyi, music on vinyl makes only authorized reissues.
