Buridora
When in 1970 the English progressive rock was already considerably mature and had already released some of his masterpieces, Italy still had to fully import and assimilate certain influences. We are therefore in a year of transition between the beat/psychedelic and the progressive genre. Venetian band Il Mucchio's music perfectly represents this desire, yet not perfectly focused, to go beyond the pop music schemes of the decade that had just ended. The self-titled and only group's LP, dominated by keyboards (the first Il Mucchio's line-up did not feature any guitarists), shows noticeable songwriting skills and a voice that easily recalls similarities with the New Trolls. But personality is not lacking in these eight tracks, and we can only wonder what would become of the band if he actually had the opportunity to evolve further.Unfortunately, after three more 7-inch and a line-up change, the group disbanded, leaving behind them just a single - beautiful - album, also forgotten for decades and never reissued on vinyl.
Rocky Basilisk
This not an album of Italian Prog Rock. Is more close to Psychedelic Pop in the late 60s Uk Style.
