Hmm...I've had a pristine copy of this sitting in my shelf for over 30 years, and played it for the 3rd time in as long last night for my wife. I recall disliking it upon its release...over time, I've come to accept it for what it is; Decently played mediocre American prog/pop. Upon her first listen last night, my wife disliked the Peter Gabriel cover "Solsbury Hill", while I thought it was a bit pointless, yet OK. There's also a song credited to Ian Lloyd titled "Easy Life". Funny...I don't seem to recall this from Ian's repertoire as a solo artist, or with 'The Stories'...fairly decent though. The rest of the songs are originals penned by David Adams & Nestor Nunez. The back cover of the album credits the band as being a 3-piece; David Adams (keyboards/vocals), Nestor Nunez (bass/vocals), and Chris Jones (drums & "that's rights")... with a few additional musicians; Jamie Glaser (electric and acoustic guitars), Greg Peyton (electric vibes), and Oberheim programming by Ed Walsh. The music seems to go through the basic prog/pop changes to be expected circa 1980, at times sounding a bit like the 3-piece Genesis from this period. The musicianship is pretty good...most notably the keyboard work. This album definitely sounded better to my ears last night than on any previous listens. You might find a copy here at Discogs, or in some of the 2nd hand record stores. It was released on what appears to be a private label 'Radio Records' out of Ft. Lauderdale Florida. At the time of this LP's release, Glass Moon were managed by Jo Capp Management of Haledon New Jersey. But one look at the back cover photo, you can tell these aren't Jersey Boys. Apparently formed in North Carolina, my money's on Florida as being their base...the flowered shirt with huge lapels draped over the beige linen jacket of the fellow in the middle (Dave Adams?), flanked by the two other dudes straight out of a Miami Vice episode tells me this. I may scan the photo, and upload it as the bands main pic :)I should add that I own Glass Moon's 2nd LP titled 'Growing In The Dark' as well, but I recall disliking that even more than this debut.
