Anybody else notice a lot of surface noise on the original Poppy issue? Mine is clean and glossy but very noisy!
Brajind
That's exactly how I'd describe mine, a light fuzz/buzz. Must be the press.
Elastic Skunk
I have two, both clean and glossy. One is indeed quite noisy, with a light fuzz/buzz particularly nearer the beginning. Certainly doesn’t look as though it can be physically in the surface of the record. Seems like the press. Yet the other isn’t like it. I can’t explain why.
Ishnsius
I have this original - its the greatest record I've ever heard. Mostly due to the beauty of the music.
JoldGold
Just picked up a Fat Possum reissue, cover says 2007, but no mention of 180g, and definitely feels like standard weight to me. I applaud Fat Possum for reissuing TVZ's stuff, but I have to say the artwork sucks. In both this reissue and "Delta Momma Blues," the colors are way off (Townes looks like he's sunburned) and the printing looks cheap overall.
