Fog
From the Cosmic Egg CD-Rom: An obscure Swiss prog band of whom we know nothing except for this one recently discovered album that seems to date from the early-1980's. A broad-ranging act style-wise, Quasimodo don't really fit neatly anywhere. Their album SCHACHMATT is either quite patchy or an acquired taste, depending on how you look at it. The range of styles includes passages close to early Jane, and many a DDR band, with strong use of ballads in a richly crafted progressive, elsewhere compared to Van der Graaf Generator. However, the mixture is made all the stranger by a lead singer who sounds like an Italian singing in German!
