Example of problem with some tracks as follows. The Joker, sounding rich and full at the start but by the time the heavy bass line starts resonating with the acoustic guitar around half way in, there is a doubling effect due to the 'blanketed' compression added for dynamics. The remaster engineer did not compensate for the multiplying effect of frequencies, and easily blown out at that range, an already heavily compressed acoustic guitar low end will already rattle speakers. This effect causes a weird buzz on my monitors during the peaks as well as in the car, which has a built in compressor to stop distorted peaks, indicating it's distorted in the mix.

Records are pressed with heavy weight vinyl each weighs 200grams. While being a beautiful package, all around nice to look at, thick slabs of wax... the sound is loud yet uneven. Some weird anomolies in the grooves, some harsh peaks, little spots of disortion and possibly a bit of no fill squeel. The distortion is not dominant or anything but will show up in quiet areas for a rotation. The harsh quality of sound is throughout many tracks but not all, and a little noise in the background. Good party player with your Crosley, will be a centerpiece of attention. Decent price new. Heartwarming segment of young Stevie. Found at Winners Stores in Canada. Used at150Ea cart. B+
