Great LP by this band from Toronto Ontario Canada !!Really funky/bluesy/soulful jamming throughout and itseems that they gave some stellar performances at thetime. Here is a record I believe deserves much more ofa reputation among undergrouncollectors than it has.It almost never turns up on dealer lists; not becauseit's particularly rare, it's just not that much in demand. What a shame. On tap is some fairly funky, somewhat hard, rock with some soul influences and great guitar. It's a bitreminiscent of Sly and the Family Stone, though less funkyand considerably harder. The material is quite interesting, definitely not run of the mill. But it's Troiano's guitarwork that really steals the show. This record is well Worththe price of admission. Lets just hope that price doesn't startto climb as more and more listeners get hip to this sleeper. The bandline up was; Dominic Troiano (guitar/vocals), Penti "Whitey" Glan(drums), Roy Kenner (vocals), John Prakash (bass).

Features Dominic Trioiano, later of the Guess Who and the James Gang, on guitar. Singer Roy Kenner was also in the post-Joe Walsh James Gang. Prakash John and Whitey Glen were rythym section for hire on dozens of records including records by Lou Reed, Alice Cooper and John Kay. A note for note cover of "I Can Hear You Calling" was done by Three Dog Night. A great album, especially side 2.

VG+ and $4 at a local shop last weekend... probably my best "I have no idea what this sounds like but it just looks super cool so I'll get it" purchase in quite a while. The best way to describe this album is non-stop "The Band" style funk. Or, "The Band" without the ballads. The album lacks any clear highlights or low-lights, its just a solidly good album from start to finish. It is worth noting that the bass player is clearly not from this planet, but rather a planet where being anything but ultra funky is a crime punishable by death. The guy constantly rips, while maintaining his musical role rhythmically... outstanding stuff!
