New French duo of multi-instrumentists composing a music between a Canterbury and jazz-rock feel, with odd rhythms, great keyboards textures (splendid Fender Rhodes) and a complex writing that is cheating the mind - or/and the ear - because it seems so naturally simple and flows with great ease. The only minus I would see here is the choice of drum programming instead of a *real* drummer but I must say the programming is extremely well done and doesn't feel stupidly mechanical but "nearly human" in fact! Add a great choice of guest players - Thierry Payssan (Minimum Vital) soloing on Sigma synths and giving some mello shots, Jacob Holm-Lupo (White Willow, Opium Cartel) on guitar, Archimede de Martini (newly in Stormy Six) on violin - plus the technical signature of Paolo Botta (Yugen, Empty Days, Not a Good Sign) for the mix and Udi Koomran for the mastering and you have a fantastic debut album with top sound, several spins on your CD player guaranteed!
