This MOV pressing is fantastic. Clear as a bell & punchy as hell. The bass is to die for!

When I am browsing albums for sale on Discogs I always keep an eye out for classic albums that should be in my collection. So when I came across this Music On Vinyl mono edition of Roger the Engineer by the Yardbirds I had to snatch it up. The album is officially titled simply “Yardbirds” but the common name for the album, due to its cover art depicting the album’s audio engineer, Roger Cameron, is Roger the Engineer. My copy is titled as such. This album is the only album by the Yardbirds featuring all original material. The album was included in Robert Dimery's 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die and in 2012, the album was ranked No. 349 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. The album featured the following line-up of incredibly talented artists:Keith Relf – lead vocals (except "The Nazz Are Blue"), harmonicaJeff Beck – lead guitar, lead vocals on "The Nazz Are Blue", bass guitarChris Dreja – rhythm guitar, backing vocals, pianoPaul Samwell-Smith – bass guitar (all but 2), backing vocalsJim McCarty – drums, backing vocals, percussionThe album was beautifully produced (Paul Samwell-Smith and Simon Napier-Bell), mastered and pressed (Recording Industry) on 180g heavyweight audiophile-grade vinyl. There were no mastering credits listed anywhere; but a careful analysis of the digitally recorded waveform revealed no dynamic range compression monkey business. The recording had an average signal level (-6.0 dB) and, like most Music On Vinyl pressings, was dead whisper quiet with virtually no surface noise, crackle or pops.I gave this album 5 out of 5 stars.//Paul Rolan Perkes
