My copy has some white smoke on the second LP (sides C and D), and I have seen this in pictures of several other copies floating around online. Is this consistent with all of the clear copies? If so, maybe the colour variant should read something like: “A/B Clear, C/D Clear w/ Smoke”.
invincible
My copy didn't have the white smoke. Both LPs were 100% clear, so there seems to be only a select number of copies that has the white smoke.

Looks like the clear pressing is available again on the Thrill Jockey webshop: https://thrilljockey.com/products/what-one-becomes

I've always been a great Aaron Turner "fan". And this work shows why. Fury, rage, anger - expressed in every note, in every sound, in every song. In the eighties Big Black did that to me. Now he does. This is not metal, this is not avantgarde, this is pure agression and hate. But in a positive way. Yes! This is just perfect!

there's also a grey version (band edition) available at sige records https://sigerecords.merchtable.com/music/vinyl/sumac-what-one-becomes-vinyl-2xlp#.V1XuNJGLS70

I believe that is correct. It is a beautiful pressing. I just got mine yesterday.

I read that 200 of the clear Version were made. Can anyone confirm that?

THX for the info! Maybe this should be posted in the nozes then.

My local record shop Plan 9 in Richmond, VA had a few copies for sale and the poly-sleeves definitely stated "clear limited to 200 copies". I'm trusting that they have the correct info, hope that helps!
