Notes

The gold (tan) "Starline" label with 1968 logo to left ran from 1972-1978. In 1975 "All Rights Reserved.." information was added to body text or rim print.

This RCA Music Service release has two less tracks than the original and earlier The Star Line pressings. The two tracks removed are "Billy Goat Hill" and "Everglades" and appear to have been removed from all post-1966 releases.

Writing credits for A1 are incorrect: The song was originally written by North Carolina poet Thomas Land and then later "arranged" and popularized (locally) by Appalachian banjoist Frank Proffitt (1913–1965). Frank Warner (1903–1978) later sang a version that the Kingston Trio version is based on. John and Alan Lomax simply collected folk music. Only Proffitt was ever awarded royalties for the Kingston trio version, though he died in 1965 as noted above.

The Star Line logo is on the cover, though labels incorporate newer Starline logo.
