Field recordings by Bernie Krause on location in the Amazon basin at Km 41 research station (near Colosso, north of Manaus, Brazil).

"The richest mix of creature sounds comes from the tropical rainforests of the planet. Over time, the resident birds, frogs, mammals, insects, and reptiles learn to vocalize in unique relationships to each other - much like instruments in an orchestra. This biophony is as beautiful as any music heard in the major symphony halls of the world."

Birds: Cacique, great potoo, parakeet, Amazon parrot, red-billed toucan, screaming piha, parauque, tinamou, tropical screech owl, antwren, ant shrike, musician wren.
Mammals: Brown howler monkeys, bats, jaguar.
Frogs: various species.
