Gogal
Nina Simone had a childhood dream to become the first black Classical Pianist at Carnegie Hall. This isn't her début at the venue, but it is the first time she headlined, and whilst it's not all Classical, this is all serious stuff. Yet again she is unique, and this music can't be pigeon-holed into any genre - it's certainly not Soul-Jazz as claimed by those who have listed it on Discogs. This music has a tender, intimate feeling to it, it's not the most moving music, and whilst I prefer the material on "Live at The Village Gate" and "At Newport" live albums, this is still a nice listen, a little different to her other live performances, and I would recommend at least a listen for Nina fans.
