This edition presents the George Shearing Quintet´s two amazing live performances recorded in California in March of 1958 (conga drummer Armando Peraza is added as a sixth member on some numbers). Included here in their entirety, the two concerts feature the exact same personnel, showcasing Toots Thielemans, who is heard here mostly on guitar, rather than on harmonica. These shows were originally issued on the classic albums "On The Sunny Side Of The Strip" (Capitol ST 1416) and Shearing On Stage! (Capitol ST 1187).
