That would be a recording of the Dave Bruceck Octet, Fantasy No. 3-3. This release is actually the Dave Bruceck Trio. No. 3-1, and was indeed released in 51 from what I have read. I think the confusion might be that there are a number of early Brubeck recordings released on Fantasy records under the subtitle of Distinctive Rhythm Instrumentals. I think of it kind of as a series considting of numerous individual recordings with separate group composition and tracks.
