Apparently MOFI did not have access to first generation master tapes for this album, so they chose to release it on their Silver Label series. I think the sound is quite good, considering what they had to work with. There is some tape hiss, but nothing I haven't heard before on older jazz albums, so I'm not too bothered by it. I don't find it too distracting on my system, but your mileage may vary. I may look out for a 70s pressing to compare to this one but I'm no rush to do that. The album is great musically of course.

White gold

There is a like a white noise sound during play back.Ill lift my stylus and it gets quiet so i know its in the groove :/As my first Mobile Fidelity Sound LAB purchase im not as impressed as i thought i would be.When it changes between songs it gets even quieter..... thats bad....

I have the same issue. I have to utilise the low filter on my amp for it to be bearable. Unfortunately this also removes much of the sound. I would give this pressing a miss and find another release.

After doing some research, its the tape hiss that MFSL had to work with.It sounds clear and present but the tape hiss/white noise is there.
