The cover of this stereo release shows the mono cat.# AFLP 1851 on the front upper right corner and on the spine. However, a gold sticker was later applied to the front covers of this release in the lower right corner. That sticker states "Audio Fidelity Records STEREODISC Compatible Stereophonic Phonograph Record." Inside, the label of the record bears the cat. # AFSD 1851 STEREODISC. In other words, Audio Fidelity put a gold stereo sticker on the mono release cover for AFLP 1851 and put a stereo record with a cat.# of AFSD 1851 inside. Later, covers were printed with yet another cat.# on a cover and label for this same stereo release which became AFSD 5851. According to many sources, either stereo version of this (Volume 3) is the very first commercially produced and released, intended for retail sales, available to the general public stereophonic disc. Volumes 1 and 2 were released earlier in mono but later than Volume 3 in stereo. The few earlier stereo discs were promos and giveaways.
