An excellent release from the classic quartet of Dave Brubeck. What I like best about this disc is that it isn't really latin or Mexican jazz but Dave arranging some traditional Mexican songs and putting a jazz twist to them. A very wise choice to showcase jazz to some new people down south. Overall every track is pretty much a hit but the last one 'La Bamba' is perfect. Great fast pace beats, guitar and Brubeck's piano is divine and there's even a drum/congo battle between Agueros and Morello. Reminds me of those old Buddy Rich and Gene Krupa battles. If you loved Time Out from this group pick this up for sure!
