Two lone Swordsmen emerges from two men, two saxaphones and two guitars. Wild & Majestic could easily be called weird and maniac for their lucid, acoustic improvisation meets noise rock creations. Matt R and Whitney O play off each other like exes and ohs. No matter what the instrument of choice you can always hear the well-shared push and pull, the stop and go and the blended explosions of colourful noise.“Spilling Something” is a really awesome entirely guitar driven track that gets a good dose of noise stirred up. You’ll also find some pretty jazzy, sax driven tracks like “Hiding Something” and “Truth is Violence.” The longest track, clocking in at just past eleven minutes is a beautiful tale through unconventional tuning and playful repetition. “Gather Again Or Ethereal Dream And Awakening” is probably the most post-rock track here. It’s jarring and a personal fave. Two Lone Swordsman does not take you on a smooth ride but the journey is interesting. Wind down one chaotic road and find yourself seated amongst some rhythm and blues gone awry. Go back and get caught in a static rush complete with psychedelic, echoing guitar. It’s a multi-lingual, multi-faceted landscape laid out for you here so listen close. (feedbackzine.ca)
