'The People' is a mellow joint using a number of samples but is mostly driven by the floaty keys taken from the Gil Scott-Heron classic 'We Almost Lost Detroit'. The track is smooth yet heavy and works perfectly as a lead single for 'Finding Forever', however it's the B-side that is the one to bump. 'The Game' is a raw & gritty joint about the hiphop industry with a beat not unlike some of the unsung material before Kanye's big breakthrough. For the hook you have DJ Premier adding some tight cuts and there you have it. Although this is far from the jawdropping cuts that Common used to deliver back in the day, it's still tight material and stands head over shoulders in a hiphopmarket so diluted, it makes the waters of the Yellow River seem crystal clear.
