Sounds better than the original release, as do all of these Death Row vinyl repressing. At least when I was buying them in the early 2000s. Chronic & Doggystyle were vastly better!

I have made the exact opposite experience!E.g. I recently purchased the original German issue of the Doggystyle album, and then compared it to the 2003 reissue (my copy was bought around 2012-2014).The difference is like night and day: The reissue sounds *awful* in direct comparison to the original pressing.I even have recorded sound clips and compared: The original German LP issue vs. the 2003 LP reissue vs. the 2003 CD reissue. The 2003 CD issue and the original German LP issue both sound very decent, and are soundwise far superior to the 2003 LP reissue.there's something wrong with the mids (sounds like those were EQed down a bit) and highs (they sound too "harsh" and are not as "clear" as they could be, sometimes they even sound "muddy" – example: the hi-hats on "Doggy Dogg World") on the reissue. Additionally it sounds (and looks like, when you look at the wave form on your computer) it has been compressed too much — this can be noticed, e.g. when you compare the snares on the different tracks.Ironically the remastered CD reissue does NOT suffer from that overcompression…if anyone's interested, I can provide the comparison snippets :-)I noticed a similar thing on 2Pac's "All Eyez On Me" reissue – the LP reissue does not sound quite right either, when compared to the CD reissue (unfortunately I don't have an original pressing of this, so I can't speak for the original pressing's sound quality).I personally will be staying away from those reissues :-)
