For me, this is a really noteworthy record. Lots of hip hop heads don't realize how important Zapp and Roger were for hip hop djs back in the day. Most know EPMDs biggest hit was based on a Zapp and Roger sample. This record is Zapp telling the world that he knows how important he is to hip hop and he wants some respect. Lyrics aside, the production is impressive for 1989. "EPMD what's your def rap? You started turning out the parties when you took a little Zapp. They know to grab a piece of Zapp is the thing to do, grab on grab on just say thank you."
