This group of songs was Aretha Franklin's first Columbia LP released in 1961 as CL 1612 (Aretha Franklin With The Ray Bryant Combo - Aretha) noting the back-up band, The Ray Bryant Combo. This set was then reissued in 1972 as KC 31953 (Aretha Franklin - Aretha - The First 12 Sides) as part off the John Hammond Collection with new liner notes by Hammond. This submission is a later reissue of that release.
