this is actually the reissue of this compilation. i have one in a box set that is older, comes with jewel cases not cardboards like here.

Thank you for this detailed information. Sounds like some track selections were made on the second edition to clarify exactly which tunes were released on Backbeat & ABC. The Goldwax single by O. V. Wright is included on a various artist compilation(s) on the Ace label, so those two tunes are easily obtainable.

One the older box set with jewel cases:Disc 1, 2 & 4 are identical.Disc 3 is missing tracks 11&12 (Reissue seems to duplicate original "Ace Of Spades" on track 13)Disc 5 is missing tracks 1&2 (They were released on Goldwax, not Backbeat or ABC) and track 18 "Without You" (released on HI),but has one of the "Ace Of Spades" Alt. takes (on reissue disc 3) and "Too You I Shall Cling" (not on any of the reissue discs).A promotional CD was included in some of the reissue sets.It contains a previously unreleased interview with O.V. Wright in Shinjuku, Japan 29 Sept. 1979.
