Been looking for this one for a while…This seems to be his Only LP {of the 70s, that is..} Released in Mid 1973, this LP Exudes the Transition between; Early 70s ‘Funky Mod Soul’, & ‘Embryonic Disco’ {known simply as that ‘Sound Out of Philadelphia’ at that time ..a la; Spinners, O’Jays, etc..} a really good singer, and a band backing him up that sound like Studio Musicians.. I love how the Bass Player is given the freedom to ‘overplay’ a little,.. makes the whole thing more ‘groovy/hip’, something you can get away with back then,..but I’m just prejudiced with that..lol I don’t believe this album was ever released on CD... {if it was, I’ll update this comment..}so the Original 1973 LP is tough to find... & you’ll be paying at least $70 for this LP in ‘decent shape’,.. (EX-NM copies run into the hundreds..)..a Really Well Produced collection of ‘danceable’ Soul Songs from that era... i’m surprised he didn’t have bigger fame...
