Cornelius delivers another EP of twisted electronic pop, with tongue firmly in cheek. “Chapter 8 –- Seashore and Horizon” clicks from one bubbly Lawrence Welk-worthy melody to another. The Sean O’Hagan remix of “The Micro Disneycal World Tour” takes the poppy chorus and backs it up with the chirpiest banjo this side of a hoedown. On the contrary, “Count Five or Six” goes full-on rock mode. The final track, “Fantasma Spot” starts with a test tone, then proceeds to hiss before all hell breaks loose. Perhaps not hell, but lots of sampling craziness.
