This was the very first hardcore record that I ever purchased and still is a firm favourite to this day. 'We Can Make It' is a nice little dark number with thumping breaks and sci-fi effects mixed alongside 'wind dem body' ragga chat, 'Falling, falling, falling' and of course the classic 'We can make it better' vocals (done in a chipmmunked style). It always made me think of Acen's 'Trip II The Moon Pt. 2' for some reason, but that may be due to the labels being the wrong was round on my copy and me thinking it was 'Space Odyssey'.'We Can Make It' on the B-Side was my favourite of the two however. With it's mellow, chiming synth melody opening up the track alongside helium effected 'We're gonna be singing' vox, it gives off a slight melancholic feel before the introduction of thundering amen breaks take over. There's a time-stretch FX-ed breakbeat included which give off a metallic percussive sound, as well as a monsterous wall-of-bass backing up the track. The hardcore scene back then was such a melting pot of ideas, and it shows as there is so much going on in each tune.A cheap tune to pickup and great quality too.
