Longtime Tresor mainstay Neil Landstrumm jumps over to the Planet Mu team for RESTAURANT OF ASSASSINS and shows off a new attitude. "Kids Wake Up" delves into some dark electro, replete with scratching. "Assassin Master" brings in a light dub touch to its breaks and twitchy melody, while "Reverse Rebel" only ups the dub ante, carried by the bassline. Darkness returns in dubstep form on "Harlem Shoot Me" and flavors the anxious dub of "Rockers 'The Underground King'." But "Tusk Hunter" returns to the dirty electro, while "Big In Chapeltown" brings in angular melodies and sharpened electronics. "Mike Grimes" caps the album with enough grime to do Mike proud. This is a restaurant worth tasting from again.
