To be honest this cd is a little disappointing. This is in part due to the fact that he had to pick all Strictly Rhythm tracks. Nevertheless, there are some absolute classics on here like (Butch Quick, Earl Bennett, KCYC). Yet, there are other tracks that have dated horrendously (RBM, RAW etc). Thus, you can certainly tell listening to this cd that it's an early 90's mix. On the other hand, listen to Movin Non Stop (Best of Movin Records) mixed By Kerri Chandler. Some of the tracks are nearly 20 years old but sound fresh to this very day. In my opinion, a great compilation defies time. This does not I'm afraid. An average effort by Mr Vega.

wow i would have to say that its fairly self-evident from your comments that you were not listening to this mix in 1994.. and that you are lookin at it with wet ears in the post-2005 modern age of music. That said this mix is a classic with me, i love all the tracks and it has a great energy + Flow and positive feeling... to simply describe it as an average effort is way, way off the mark! this was my vibe in 1994... and that vibe was far more then "an average effort"i must say after reading this review, im quite bothered, and tring to understand the purpose of writing a negative review for a mixed cd , or for any music even.. if it's not special to you, why waste your time talking about it? move on to something that u find inspiring enough to write positively about! and let those who cherish the recording do so without being privy to your negative opinions!!!!!
