I wasn't going to enter this RSD debate, but now I can't resist. On RSD itself my nearest shop did not have any copies of this album, and I was disappointed. Now precisely 2 months later, I found a copy in my next-nearest store, 10 miles or so away. For £13 (probably less than I would have paid on RSD). So while I am happy, most of the comments already made are valid. So, what of the music? Well frankly it's brilliant. The oldskool flavas represente here are very authentic, and the way the tracks run together gives it a kind of chaotic "party" feel. The "Technologic" referencing "Daft Punk Rave" could not have been made in 92 of course, but many of the other tracks could. "Pillz" sounds a bit out of place too, as a sort of UKG/juke hybrid to these ears. But for the most part it does exactly what it should according to those sleeve notes. Recurring themes ("Euphoria" and "Tears in Rain" for instance) cement the cohesion of the LP. If you like this, I recommend tracking down material by AGT Rave Cru and Remerge

what running together? the tracks just end abruptly for no reason....lol

Well pressed album, the yellow vinyl sounds very nice. Its nice to finally have this on vinyl, however I agree with the sentiment that RSD is a money making scam. Dont pay over 20 quid for this release, as its robbery.I bought it on Boomkat for 13 or 14 quid, which is exactly what I was willing to pay for a physical version of what is an old album.
Jerdodov
plus I live in Australia, I goddamn wish I could be around the main RSD events but it means nothing out this way....
X-MEN
"Scam" is the wrong word as that implies you receive something nowhere near the value which was implied with the exchange. Basically I think that sometimes you can buy a record brand new for 6 quid which you know will be worth 30 quid in a couple of months, but they usually only charge 6 quid. RSD is an opportunity for the stores to try and capitalise a little on that value disparity, as well as to try and raise the visibility of vinyl records as a medium. Nigerian Prince emails are a scam.

RSD website says it's limited to 1000 copies. Wicked album, reimagines those dingy early 90's breakbeat vibes - Krome & Time, Acen, Dance Conspiracy etc. Buy the vinyl!!

Awesome LP, I had the MP3 of this back in 08, cant believe its only released 4 years later!

At long last, this album came out on vinyl after almost 4 years. Still, the high price is totally unreasonable.

Oh the hardcore pigeons have come to roost with me in a BIG way. After flipping records for the past few years I gave it a miss this year and wandered down to Truck in Oxford at 11am to see if there was anything I fancied. I picked up the 2 Many DJs LP for £22, which was top of my short list of wants. "Did you have the Zomby LP?" I asked. Yes, he said, they've all gone. That's OK, I'll pick one up on Discogs probably...................yeah, after I win the f*cking lottery!! RSD is bullshit.UPDATE: I picked two up for £14 each in the end from an online ONLY store (not sure how, I thought RSD was for bricks and mortar stores only...???). So I'll keep one for myself and flip one in a years time to pay for both. RSD rules ;0) Toodle oo.

@SpacedSymphony - thanks for the comment. But when you say, "there is a chance you will be VERY disappointed if you look to obtain wanted item on the internet.", my point is that I DID pick up both the items I really wanted....on the internet, bypassing the physical store completely and for less than half the price my local store was charging. The whole RSD-day was then capped off with the discovery that Amazon (not a bricks and mortar independent record store full of folks chatting and eating cake, as far as I can tell ;0) also have this for sale. RSDBS. Peace.
SiIеnt
@SpacedSymphony - Hang on, Amazon.com? Possibly the largest VIRTUAL store in the world has this for pre-sale (it does, I checked)? What kind of bullshit is this? It would seem that the vinyl collectors of the world are divided into (apparent) mugs who queue for up to 4 hours to support a bricks-and-mortar store only to be told that the records they want have sold out, but can be purchased for a kidney on eBay etc, and then the more astute collector who shops around online to get the very same items at half the 'physical world' price. Remind me what the point of RSD is again???

@redi - Hi there. Thanks for the advice, but if you call that a rant you must have been home-schooled. Nah, I'm just kidding, thanks again. Through the kindness of another Discogger I bought one online in the end for 16 euros, which kind of backs up my "RSD is bullshit" sentiments. Peace.
Narim
Or just wait 24 hours and it's on sale for £24.99 and your rant looks a bit unnecessary now. If you don't want to pay £150 for it just don't pay it.
Fearlesshunter
it won't stay at these silly prices for long, everyone goes spastic on RSD. Last year 7"s were going for £50+ that you now can't give away. The feeding frenzy will die down in a few weeks and normality will be restored...mark my words.
