It's mostly due to the title track's plagiarism issue I guess (see earlier comments).

I hate to say this considering I've been such a huge supporter of Baby Ford's for over 20 years, and consider him to be the godfather of modern minimal techno, but his music recently has been a bit tired and uninspired. Maybe it's because his output is so few and far between these days that I expect his releases to blow me away, but his tracks now are just bare DJ tools that make the most minimalist of techno tracks sound dynamic in comparison. Each one of his tracks and remixes follow the same formula now: always around 9 minutes, never change, super minimal with no hint of melody, then end abruptly. With age I would hope his music would mature, but it seems to just get more removed, and dare I say it, boring. This "Mystery Falls" record is getting filed away after one play, and probably won't be on my turntable again. The A-side is clearly a track that was released back in 2003 by another artist which adds frustration to the mix here. I used to be incredibly excited at the thought of a new Baby Ford release -- now his records blend in to the pack.

A1 is Rhythm Maker - "Rosmarin" release in Futuristic Experiments #006 (Background Germany) 2003... Plagiarism?

So what is Ford saying here? It doesn't really clear much up, does it? Is he saying he sent someone else's DAT to the pressing plant? Is he saying he had this DAT laying around for 12 years and thought it was his own music? Any way you cut it, it's a pretty lame excuse.

I have to say that there is a very compelling argument here -- the two tracks are virtually identical. The only clear difference is that the "Rosmarin" track is about 7 minutes long while the Baby Ford version is almost 10 minutes. Other than that, this is the same song, pure and simple.

it is not exactly the same
