Can You Dig It is one of the greatest 1992 'Ardkore tracks ever. Yet no one knows about this one as it was a little US release and this sound was mainly a UK thing. I'm taking a well educated guess that it was designed to be played at the Limelight in NYC and thats about it. The track has crazy breakbeats, choir rave stab melodies that constantly change, "The Warrior" movie samples: "We've got the streets suckers" / "Can you dig it", Speak and Spell voice samples, ragga vocal samples, and breakdowns that are simmilar to the intro of X-101 "Sonic Destroyer" where the kick drum plays in line with the melody. It basically sounds like a production that you would hear on Strictly Underground Records. It took me forever to find out the name of this track as I heard it on this obscure mixtape I bought in Wild Wood NJ in 1993. I even contacted the record label, Cutting Records. They sold me the 320kbps MP3 of the track which was better then nothing. At that time this release wasn't even on Discogs. Once it was I found someone selling it and bought it right away. This is one serious kick ass 'Ardkore track! One thats not to be missed!
