Obviously Mr. Calibre has been sitting around his house listening to the music of Mr. Theo Parrish and Mr. Kenny Dixon Jr. This may cause consternation on the part of closed minded "junglists" in this day and age, but he comes through with some really beautifully nasty soulful material here. The only thing giving it away as not being produced by one of the members of the Detroit house family is the bassline, which has that clarity and deepness that is characteristic of drum and bass basslines moreso than house, but even that is forgivable. An excellent house record!
