Some trivia on the Tommy Keelan & Hess Barber track, via the Facebook group 'We're Going Deep' - thanks Matt Newton for the knowledge.'Back in 1992, melbourne DJ Hess Barber (aka HE$$) did a couple of gigs dedicated to Detroit, with a taste of Acid House. The first one was called 'Straight Trippin' (homage to the Terrace EP on Djax, and the second was called 'Stick Music' (homage to the K.A. Posse EP).The first gig was advertised with an international DJ -DJ Blackout from 33rpm Records / Sinewave Detroit (Damon Booker). At the last moment, he was not able to make it to the gig. Many years later, I was in contact with Damon, and he told me how upset he was at that time, not being able to make it to the gig in Australia. His visa was cancelled at the last moment. So, as a good gesture, he contacted Hess and asked him to record a track, and he would publish it in Detroit. A five track dat was sent to him, with 5 different mixes of 'Where Angels Tread'.Damon picked his favourite, got it mastered at NSC, and the first Australian track to be put out on a Detroit label became. In later years i found out that this was not the mix the Hess and Tommy wanted published.'
