"This album followed me through a cross country drive from Philadelphia, PA to Portland, OR - each track is linked to a specific occasion or group of occasions.

Most of the synth sounds were made with Korg's DW8000 (introduced digital delay to consumer-grade synthesizers in 1985), which gives the album its crunchy sound. Other sounds are a combination of drum machines and Reason."
