A amazingly album and brilliant follow up to SS excellent debut. Most of the album is not as fast-paced or dance orientated as some other deep/tech-house albums already out there(a good thing for me!); but teases just enough to make you groove away with its smooth grooves & vibes across its deep seductive sound. This time Sans Soleli adds a new dimension to SS brilliant mixture of instrumental deep/tech-house techno! Now emphasising on the use of vocals, but with a deeper complexity and originality compared to other albums in the same vain. Some instrumentalist may fear the use of vocals...But fear not!! Here the vocal techniques are used in a manner that is incorporated brilliantly to work within as part of the instrumental framework. This is not your typical singing or triggered vocall samples. This is sophisticated electronic music by SS with vocals sung with a sense of memorizing elegance by Genevieve Marentette. Her voice is beautifully used by SS in a excellent sublime way using hi-tech effects with edits and manipulation added to her voice that brings a extra layer of a deeper dimensions, depth, and complexity to the already soul-deep voice while the music adds everything from chug-along house grooves, hypnotic deep-tech house, smooth Detroit rhythms, and plenty of absorbing beats with cool smokey laid back moods. SS has managed to exquisitely incorporate the inspiration of using beautiful vocals and then blend it seamlessly with SS intelligent deep tech-house and techno that can still please the instrumental junkies, like myself, to a very good and memorizing extent. This may also be the record that finally teaches all of those who hate vocals, again like myself, just how incredibly wrong you could be! ..A wonderful return by SS with a album with some of the deepest grooviest and engaging music around!A must for all fans of deep-tech/house electronic music, esp if into: Moodymann, Dublee, YMC, Luomo (1st 2 albums), Andres', DJ Jus-ED, Chris Gray (Brilliant deep-tech-house artist), Omar S, Theo Parrish, Manmade Science.
