One of the the best electronic albums released in recent years. A wonderful hybrid offering from Szare, which incorporates elements from techno, drum and bass and bass music to create a truly original sound. The vinyl is worth the price alone. 5 out of 5.

It's easy to become jaded and disenchanted the deeper you dig into a particular genre, in this case techno. A common complaint which I have against the genre is that the album format is rarely used to its fullest potential. Producers tend to just dump similarly-styled productions in sequence without reflecting on its cohesion, flow or story-telling (as pretentious as it may sound) and then just slap a fancy title on the "compilation". It's for this particular reason I considered SHXCXCHCXSH's "Linear S Decoded" the best album of 2014 when I first heard it, and one of the better techno albums in a very long time. But after recently discovering this offering from Szare, I just might have to reconsider. This is the very definition of a complete package; you get two vinyls full of technoid-bass hybrids with enough synergetic qualities to be considered an excellent mini-album in itself. But then there's the included CD which manages to be even more surprising. Structured as a lengthy and continuous live mix, the tracks contained within effortlessly draw inspiration from techno, bass, house and tribal and deliver something that's not commonly heard within this genre. I cannot recall a recent release that so perfectly checks off everything I have been looking for in a full-lengther. That being said, I couldn't be more happy for discovering "Lost Shapes; Carved In Those Dancing Gravestones". It didn't quite make it onto my 2014 list in time, but I guess better late than never!

I just bought this album a few days ago. This review is spot on and a great read. I only wish that the tracks on the cd would have made it to vinyl as well, simply because I prefer the format. Could have been a 5x12" or something like that.

This is a masterpiece! Especially the CD included. I don't get, why only a few people have this album!
